COMMENT
I wrote the opening theme of SAKAMOTO DAYS, “RUN
SAKAMOTO RUN”.
I've loved the manga, and found myself completely
absorbed by the powerful artwork, the storytelling,
and that addictive contrast between everyday life
and deadly battles. I’m incredibly honored and
excited to be entrusted with the opening theme for
this beloved series’ first anime adaptation.
When I wrote “RUN SAKAMOTO RUN”, I aimed to convey
the inspirational protagonist Sakamoto’s
overwhelming, unmatched strength. I was fortunate to
have the opportunity to record the song in London,
which gave it a unique sound, making it a piece I
can truly say I gave my all to.
I hope the song ‘runs’ together with the manga,
anime, and all of you guys!

FUTSUU
COMMENT
We had the opportunity to write “FUTSUU” as the
ending theme song for the TV animation of SAKAMOTO
DAYS!! This was our first anime collaboration, and
we are truly honored. When we heard about the
opportunity, we were so happy, and so surprised, but
at the same time this intense feeling of “All right,
let’s do this!” is what helped us devote ourselves
to the project.
You may be wondering “What kind of a title is
‘FUTSUU’?” But these lyrics are written as
Aoi-chan’s feelings for Sakamoto. It’s composed with
heartfelt words, so try to focus on the lyrics as
you listen to the melody.
Let’s watch a lot of SAKAMOTO DAYS, and listen to
the song over and over, and make the best anime
ever!!
